THE PEARL

     THE PEARL is about kino family. He lives with his wife Juana and son Coyotito,who unfortunately gets stung by scorpion. Juana call for the doctor, who has very particular requirement for his pantients. Kino and Juana go to the doctor;s house anyway,but their race and poverty work againts then. The doctor won't treat Coyotito, so Kino goes pearl diving in the hope of hitting the jackpot.

This a good day for this family. Kino then finds a really,really big pearl. Word travels through town that Kino has hit the mother lode. Dollar sings immediately start running through everyone's brain as they all think about how to get in on Kino's new-found wealth. Meanwhile the doctor has shown up,all a apologies for being a rasict jerk earlier that morning.

After all of Kino's new 'friend" leave the hut,he and Juana go to sleep. Kino awakens in the middle of the night to find on intruder,well,intruding in his hut and trying to steal the pearl. The intruder smashes Kino on the head before departhing. As Juana nurses Kino's injury,she insists that the is evil and they better get rid of it. Kino refuses. The next day, Kino goes to sell pearl but no one offers him more than third of the pearl's real value. Furious,Kino decide to forget the pearl buyers and go straight to the capital.

Now, Kino’s a bit of a homebody, so a trip up north is a big deal. Juana again tries to dissuade him, but Kino refuses to listen, so Juana is helpless. Kino wakes up in the middle of the night to find his wife about two seconds away from chucking the pearl into the ocean. In keeping with his earlier aggressive outbreak, Kino resorts to his fists and beats his wife. As Kino makes his way back to the house, someone attacks him, and his house erupts in flames. Kino kills his attacker and he and Juana watch their hut burn to the ground.
 
As the couple hits the road the next night with their son, they discover trackers are on their tail. In a chase sequence, Kino tries to hide his family in the mountains as the trackers pursue them. Finally, they rest in some picturesque caves above a little stream. The trackers stop – guess where – at the stream. Deciding it’s time for some combat, Kino tells Juana to keep the baby quiet and makes his way down to the trackers. As he’s about to attack, Coyotito cries out and one of the men pulls out his rifle. Just as he shoots in Coyotito’s general direction, Kino pulls a Chuck Norris on the trackers and kills all of them.


Juana carries a bloody blanket with the remains of Coyotito and the couple walks tp the ocean, Kino flings the pearl out to the sea and it disappears.

MEN WITHOUT WOMEN by Ernest Hemingway

Based on the novel that i have read,it's divided to 14th title.But the one title that I like in this novel is "THE KILLERS".The sound you did hear like a great right?? I don't know if u don't feel like what I feel. HAHHA !! ..Back on the novel,for this part the character that I know in this novel is Al,Nick Adams,George,Max,Sam,Ole Andreson and 1 maid for Ole Andresonwas named Mrs bell.The part for this novel it's story about a two men want to kill Ole Andreson.Characteristics for Ole Andreson is,he is a obess man was lying on the bed for a few years on his his life.And 1 maid was take care of him and and his named is Mrs Bell.I don't know why te two of men want to kill Ole Andreson.Maybe a past of the day,they have a bit wrong understanding of something else.

There have four member per group.There is Chloe,Mackenzie,Suzie and Elizabeth.Chloe and Elizabeth.Chloe and Mackenzie as friend since 7years old.In grade 4,Suzie and Elizabeth join their exclusive group.All of their are fashion high and they love popularity.

       "chronic daydreamer,nauratic bourderline and artistic chloe"

  Nicole is Mackenzie's best friend.They are very close.Nicole have a boyfriend who is captain of basketball and very popular at their school.His name is Gabe.Mackenzie imagine if she couple with Gabe she will be a QUEEN of the school ,Mackenzie like Gabe.

  Chloe,Mackenzie,Suzie and Elizabeth have different class.But same in ENGLISH class.Before start class,Chloe never talk with Adam ,who is unpopular guy,Chloe don't mind whether her friends are popularity or not but because of Mackenzie she never talk to unpopular student.Suddenly Chloe and Adam have a same ENGLISH and ART class,because of their family's name is starting with 's' so ,they seat side by side.In the ART class,their lecturer gave them assignment about human organ.Adam draw a 'heart beat' and Chloe 'dancing feet'.When Chloe looked Adam her heart beat quickly ,and they keep talking with each other.They just talk in the ART class because in the ENGLISH they have Mackenzie.

  One day,in the ENGLISH class,Adam comes late.Before he have a seat he wish 'morning' to Chloe and Mackenzie surprise.Adam comes late because he has a problem.

  Mackenzie ask Chloe how she know Adam,and chloe said they are same in the ART class.Every saturday and sunday Chole,Mackenzie,Suzie and elizabeth always outing together.Since Chole couple with Adam she always miss outing with them for several meeting.One day,Mackenzie finding out about Chole and Adam at the museum.Both of them were suprised.Mackenzie scold Chole because ashamed her with unpopular students.Adam also scold to the Chloe because not tell  the truth about their relationship with their friends.

  Almost one week Adam and Chole not talk each other.One day,Mackenzie staynigth at the Nicole's house and the next tomorrow she slipped her diary and Nicole read all diary.In the tells that she kissed with Gabe,dating each other and so on.Nicole was very scold and she want to grudge Mackenzie.She fotocopy the diary and stick at the wall of the way building of high school.

  all student high school looked at the Mackenzie with the face weird,and Mackenzie know and looked at the wall about herself and she was very angry.She wonder Chloe do that and scold Chloe but she wrong.It is Nicole,and she scoldNicole because do that.

  Lastly,Mackenzie feel annoyed and she appologized to all their friend,and she does'nt mind to be friend with unpopularity people.She is very wants to change herself,and everyones in high school accept her in open mind. 
 

The Prisoner of Zenda by Anthony Hope Hawkins.

comment and conclusion


Based on the novel that I have read, The Prisoner of Zenda by Anthony Hope Hawkins, one of the moral values that I can point out from this novel is responsibility. All the characters in this novel seem to be responsible over something.

The main character, Rudolf Rassendyll has a lot of responsibilities. He has to look for a job to make his brother and sister in law happy. He also puts his life in danger to save King Rudolf the Fifth because he thinks that it is his responsibility which he had nothing to do with in the first place.

Princess Flavia is also a good example. She is responsible foe her country. She has to rule Riritania alongside with King Rudolf the Fifth which makes her to put her sacred love for Rudolf Rassendyll aside. This shows that Princess Flavia puts her responsibility before her love life.

Colonel Sapt and Fritz are also very responsible. Everyday they think of new ways and strategies to save king. They know that it is their responsibility to do so. All of the reasons above make me think that responsibility is something that all of us must have because there is no doubt that it is very important.
